Design & Production
To support the launch of Kat Von D Beauty within Debenhams, Scene2 produced a striking oversized lipstick installation designed to capture attention and create a memorable focal point for the brand activation.
The installation transformed one of the beauty industry’s most recognisable products into a large-scale experiential centrepiece, celebrating the bold aesthetic and distinctive identity of the Kat Von D brand.
Workshop Production
The giant lipstick was constructed using a plywood cylinder as its structural core and clad with CNC-carved polystyrene sections to accurately recreate the product’s iconic studded detailing.
A fire-retardant hard-coat finish was applied before the intricate surface features and branding elements were carved and refined. The structure was then finished using bright red and high-gloss black paintwork, complemented by a PVC chrome-effect finish that replicated the premium appearance of the original product.
The project showcased Scene2’s expertise in large-scale sculptural construction, CNC production and specialist scenic finishing techniques.
