Design & Production

Working with Sunshine and artist Fred Butler, Scene2 transformed a Soho townhouse into a fully immersive brand experience inspired by the ingredients and flavour profile of the iconic Absolut Pornstar Martini.

Designed as a multi-sensory journey, the experience guided visitors through a series of themed environments that celebrated the cocktail’s key ingredients while creating memorable moments of interaction, discovery and social engagement. Each space was designed to immerse guests within a vibrant world of colour, texture and sensory effects, culminating in a hands-on mixology experience.

Workshop Production

Scene2 constructed a series of bespoke scenic environments that transformed the townhouse into a layered experiential journey.

Visitors entered a vanilla vodka forest featuring real trees and atmospheric flavoured mists before progressing into a prosecco-inspired bubble maze constructed with illuminated scenic features and neon lighting. The experience concluded within a passionfruit kaleidoscope boudoir, where mirrored surfaces, bold colours and immersive scenic treatments created a striking visual finale.

The project combined carpentry, finishing, lighting integration and immersive environment construction to create a seamless narrative journey through the cocktail’s ingredients.

Installation & Delivery

Scene2 managed the installation and transformation of the townhouse, coordinating the integration of scenic environments, sensory effects and visitor flow throughout the venue.

The completed experience guided guests through multiple floors of immersive environments before culminating in a rooftop mixology masterclass, creating a fully integrated brand experience that connected storytelling, entertainment and product engagement.

Project Overview

To celebrate one of Absolut’s most popular cocktails, Sunshine and artist Fred Butler developed an immersive experiential event designed to transport guests inside the world of the Absolut Pornstar Martini.

Scene2 was appointed to transform a Soho townhouse into a multi-room sensory experience inspired by the cocktail’s distinctive ingredients and vibrant personality. Rather than a traditional product launch or sampling event, the activation invited visitors to physically journey through a series of imaginative environments, each representing a different element of the drink.

Guests explored a vanilla vodka forest filled with real trees and scented atmospheric effects before navigating a prosecco bubble maze illuminated with neon lighting and playful scenic features. The experience culminated in a passionfruit-inspired kaleidoscope boudoir before visitors reached the final destination: an interactive mixology masterclass where they could learn the craft behind the cocktail itself.

The activation successfully blended art, theatre, immersive design and brand storytelling to create a memorable consumer experience that generated significant engagement and industry recognition, including winning IPM COGS Experiential Event of the Year 2019.

Challenges We Overcame

Transforming a Residential Building

The project required the complete transformation of a Soho townhouse into a series of highly immersive environments while working within the physical constraints of an existing building.

Creating a Multi-Sensory Experience

The activation relied on more than visual impact alone. Scenic environments needed to integrate scent, lighting, texture and atmosphere to fully immerse visitors within the world of the cocktail.

Maintaining a Cohesive Visitor Journey

Each room represented a different ingredient and visual identity. Careful planning was required to ensure the spaces felt distinct while contributing to a seamless overall narrative experience.

The Absolut Pornstar Martini Experience successfully transformed a product promotion into a highly immersive and memorable brand activation.

By combining experiential storytelling, scenic construction and sensory design, the installation allowed visitors to engage with the cocktail in a completely unique way, creating strong emotional connections and highly shareable moments throughout the journey.
