SAW: The Experience
Immersive Experience Production
Scene2’s Solution
Design & Production
Working closely with Path Entertainment and The Production Family, Scene2 brought the world of the iconic SAW franchise to life through a series of immersive promenade environments.
The experience combined escape-room mechanics with theatrical storytelling, guiding guests through a sequence of themed spaces inspired by the films. Each environment was carefully designed to support audience interaction, live performance elements and escalating moments of tension throughout the visitor journey.
Workshop & Production
The project showcased a wide range of Scene2’s in-house production capabilities. Working from our 17,000-square-foot workshop, the team fabricated a series of highly detailed scenic environments, props and interactive set pieces inspired by the SAW universe.
Production techniques included bespoke metalwork, precision carpentry, scenic painting and specialist fibreglass modelling. The combination of disciplines allowed the team to recreate the distinctive industrial aesthetic of the films while ensuring the environments were robust enough to accommodate continuous public use.
Installation & Delivery
Once production was complete, the scenic elements were transported to site for installation and final scenic finishing.
Scene2 coordinated the assembly and integration of the various environments, ensuring the physical sets, interactive challenges and live performance elements worked seamlessly together. The completed experience successfully immersed guests within the world of SAW, creating a highly engaging and memorable attraction.
Project Overview
SAW: Escape Experience transformed one of horror cinema’s most recognisable franchises into a fully immersive live experience. Developed by Path Entertainment in collaboration with The Production Family, the attraction combined elements of escape rooms, interactive theatre and live-action storytelling to place visitors directly within the world of the films.
Guests were given a choice of interactive pathways, allowing different audience groups to experience unique variations of the story. Throughout the journey, participants encountered a series of physical and mental challenges, live performers and increasingly intense environments that mirrored the suspense and atmosphere associated with the SAW franchise.
Scene2 was appointed to produce and install the scenic environments that formed the backbone of the experience. Drawing upon a broad range of specialist production skills, the team created a series of detailed promenade sets designed to support audience interaction while faithfully recreating the industrial, distressed aesthetic synonymous with the films.
From bespoke metalwork and scenic production to fibreglass modelling and scenic finishing, every element was produced within Scene2’s 17,000-square-foot workshop before being delivered to site for installation. The result was a highly immersive attraction that blurred the line between film, theatre and interactive entertainment.
