Experiential theatre wonder.land asks – Who Are You? #enterwonderdotland
Andy Dixon - February 2016
London’s National Theatre presents an experiential adventure that uses theatre to explore the blurred boundaries between our on and offline lives, challenging its audience to examine – Who Are You?
A new musical written by Blur’s Damon Albarn & inspired by Lewis Carroll’s iconic story, the web becomes (modern day Alice) Aly’s, looking-glass. Combining live theatre and digital technology in this stunning production, wonder.land is a musical like no other: an Alice for the online generation, where theatre meets experiential in an explosion of colour.
The wonder.land experience begins in the foyer. A series of stylised interactive sets encourage visitors to embark on a journey of self discovery. Using key field marketing tools; Twitter walls, i-pad ‘avatar generators’, green screen photo opportunities and virtual reality occulus rift headsets, visitors interact with the story and socially share their experience via email & twitter.
wonder.land pushes the boundaries of the theatrical experience. It allows its story to spill off the stage and, using stunning experiential design, engage its audience in a way that experiential marketing executes for their brands.
Creative Directors Andy Dixon & Susan Walker embarked on the wonder.land experience and challenge you to do the same. #enterwonderdotland.
