World Vision – Village of Hope Experience

Immersive Fundraising Experience

The Brief

Scene2 is proud to work year on year with the world’s largest international children’s charity World Vision. The groundbreaking experiential marketing activation. “Journey of Hope” is at the heart of World Vision’s marketing & fundraising strategy and since it’s design in 2008, the campaign has grown into satellite modular designs – “Village of Hope” & “Story of Hope” which means that the experience can be deployed to almost any sized venue. Scene2 continues to use its theatrical flair to ensure this authentic and engaging campaign continues to see fundraising figures rise.

Our Solution

In 2008, we designed and built the interactive, fundraising “Journey of Hope” experience for World Vision. Visitors enter into the life of 12-year-old Isata and her family in rural Sierra Leone and experience, first hand, the poverty suffered and the subsequent difference in the quality of life through child sponsorship. A series of mud huts give a glimpse into the lives of children and their families before and after the support of World Vision sponsorship. The past 10 years have seen the experience grow into “Village of Hope” & “Story of Hope” immersive experience campaigns which are now touring the UK too.
