Our Solution

Scene2 converted a recycled, 40 ft shipping container into an interactive Power Camp with retail space, interactive energy creation zones and chill out roof terrace. Constructed from sustainable FSC timber throughout, this wooden clad structure was finished in the workshop and then lifted into place at UK festivals across the summer where it was speedily reconstructed – see video below. Interactive zones gave visitors the opportunity to generate power through kenetic energy – cycling machines to make a smoothie & log rolls to power kettles. Timberland branded waste skips were converted into sun terrace recycling points. Positioned at key routes into the festival arenas, these bright, bold recycle points became navigation beacons for festival goers finding their way back to their tents. Using a mix of Scene2 expertise in production and construction; from metalworking & carpentry to project management and experience design, the Timberland Powercamp saw a constant stream of festival goers queuing for a turn to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability by generating energy to power the stand. Of course the free smoothie was a real hit too!
