The Brief

A cutting edge immersive experience based on Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds, the all-time best-selling double album that terrified generations, has been transformed into a never-before-seen interactive 110 minute adventure. Working alongside dot dot dot, Scene2 were asked to build & install the set & dressing elements for this 22,000 sqft immersive theatre experience.

Our Solution

Working alongside designer Tim McQuillen-Wright, Scene2 constructed the 20 different environments that form the background settings for this immersive experience where the action takes place using live actors, volumetric holographic projections, VR, motion silumators, 360 audio, temperature control & olfactory stimulation. Using a multitude of theatrical production skills; from metalworking & carpentry to scenic painting & fibreglass modelling, elements were constructed within our 17,000 sqft workshop and then shipped to the venue @ 56 Leadenhall st, London for final installation & “finishing”.
