The Brief
Scene2 worked with 1000 Heads to design and build a 5 metre tall, product replica of Kat Von D’s famous studded kiss lipstick. Installed into Kings Cross Station over 2 nights, this giant photo opportunity launched the brand’s make up products in Debenham stores across the UK.Our Solution
The iconic giant studded Lipstick was created from a plywood cylinder, clad in polystyrene and intricately carved detailing and logo branding by hand, Spray painted in bright red and high gloss black with chrome effect finish, the giant product replica was modular so that it could easily fit through the doors to Kings Cross Station in 3 parts. The team worked through 2 nights to install the set into Kings Cross in London. The product launch was visited by Kat Von D herself and was a huge success for both the makeup brand and Debenhams. Kat Von D loved it so much that she then had it installed into her garden in Spain!
